Minhaj Sisters UK organised an enlightening webinar on the topic of Sayyida Zaynab (salam Allah alayha): Empowering Muslim Women. The webinar began with the host and main organiser, Fatimah Siddiqui (General Secretary, Minhaj Sisters UK) who introduced and welcomed esteemed guest, Basima Hassan Qadri.
On Sunday 22nd August 2021, Minhaj-ul-Quran Walsall held a fundraising event to continue to raise money for the construction of the new Masjid Hall. This was led by MWL, Walsall and supported by MQI, Walsall. A hugely successful event that saw the local and wider community come together. A range of stalls offering food, clothes, toys, Islamic art, personalised gifts and much more attracted the young and old alike.
In a statement on Yaum-e-Ashur, MQI founding-leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Husainiyyat means not supporting the oppressor, impious, and dishonest people. He said Imam Hussain (alayhis-salam) laid down this principle till the Day of Judgement by offering the supreme sacrifice of his life. Through his sacrifice, the great Imam (alayhis-salam) made it clear that the important duty of governing cannot be left at the mercy of those who ridicule religious practices.
On the 10th of Muharram, Minhaj Women League, UK, held the Sayyida Zaynab (salam Allah alayha) Conference to commemorate her life and pay her rich tributes for her courage and bravery in the face of the brute Yazidi might. This was the final event of the 10-Day long programs organized in the holy month.
Addressing the "Paygham-e-Imam Hussain (alayhis-salam) and Ittehad-e-Ummat Conference" organized under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that five sacred beings belonging to the Holy Prophet's (pbuh) family have been mentioned in the Holy Quran.
On 15th August 2021, Minhaj-ul-Quran International Derby and MWL jointly organized “Mehfil Zikr-e-Hussain (RA)” in Derby Islamic Center on the occasion of the holy month of Muharram in which a large number of youths, elderly, children, and women participated. Muhammad Tayyab Saeed hosted the event. Rehmat Ali, Chairman, Derby Islamic Centre, welcomed all and delivered a welcome speech.
MQI's founding leader and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has congratulated the nation on the 74th Independence Day of the country. In his special message on the occasion, he said that Pakistan is home to 220 million people. He said that the Quaid-i-Azam led a freedom struggle for the protection of the rights of the poor and less privileged sections of society and rule of law.
In a seminar titled "Pakistan of all of us" held under the banner of MQI, the speakers termed a sustained focus on the plantation a splendid national drive. They highlighted the need for accountability of those who mercilessly cut the trees and caused deforestation. They said that a powerful mafia associated with a political party and recommended to the Punjab Assembly to dedicate a day-long discussion on this important topic. They also said that a commission should be constituted to unearth facts and mete out exemplary punishments.
The month of Muharram-ul-Haram is of unique importance in terms of virtue, glory and sanctity. This month reminds us of the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Husain (Alayhis-salam) for the religion of Islam and inspires us to take the path of devotion and commitment to the cause of truth despite manifest dangers.
Attended by a central delegation, the inaugural ceremony of Eagers Club was held under the banner of MWL Faisalabad. Those who attended the ceremony include naib Nazima Aneela Ilyas Dogar, zonal Nazima central Punjab Rafia Urooj Malik, director field and training Umm-e-Kalsoom Qamar and director Eagers Club Saadia Ahmed.
Chaudhry Irfan Yousaf, central president MSM, launched the plantation campaign by planting a sapling in the grounds opposite the central secretariat. He has instructed the MSM chapters throughout the country to plant maximum saplings. Speaking on the occasion, central MSM president said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has directed his workers to take active and full part in the tree plantation campaign. He said that planting a tree is a continuous good deed and is a major step forward in mitigating the dangers of climate change.
Declaring 'Al-Irfan' magazine as a quality scholastic research journal, the Higher Education Commission has included it in the "Y" category. The journal is published by the Faculty of Shariah & Islamic Studies, Minhaj University Lahore. The HEC announced the A-category journals on Friday. MQI founder and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has congratulated the editorial board on the HEC's recognition of the quality of the content published in the magazine.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Pakistan holds monthly meeting, presided over by Mrs. Farah Naz (President MWL Pakistan) and Ms. Sidra Karamat (General Secretary MWL). Meeting was started by the listening of previous lecture of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri; from Fahm-e-Deen project series, to enlighten the souls and ignite the ideology.
Addressing the reception, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that overseas Pakistanis are ambassador of Islam and Pakistan and thus they face twin challenges and responsibilities. They not only have to work hard to make a living for themselves and extended families but also take care that their actions do not bring a bad name to their country and religion. He said that Pakistani community is our pride and valuable asset.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, District Jhelum, arranged a social media workshop for field workers of its all Tehsilaat. The workers of all departments from Tehsil Jhelum, Dina, PD Khan and Sohawa attended the workshop. Ms. Tehreem Riffat (SM Coordinator MWL Pakistan), Mrs. Safia Riffat (SM Head MWL North Punjab) and Mrs. Nusrat Dar (President MWL Karachi) attended the workshop as chief guests.
